Job Summary
Albion Farms & Fisheries (AFF) is based in Richmond, BC Canada and is one of the largest meat and seafood distributors in Western Canada. AFF is a part of GFS Canada’s Strategic Alliance team.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate will perform work involving the maintenance upkeep, and system checks to keep the ammonia refrigeration equipment in good repair and temperatures at their ideal settings.
This position requires the individual to carry a company-provided phone and to be ‘on call rotations’ to respond to urgent situations.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends and statutory holidays for emergency on-call.
This position is responsible for:
Conducting preventative maintenance, temperature readings on refrigeration equipment and working with contractors as required
Monitoring temperature readings, defrost setups, alarm monitoring, writing of SOP’s, maintaining documentation and general operations of the ammonia plant facility
General preventative maintenance of facility systems, material handling equipment, racking, dock equipment, building automation systems, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, etc. and other duties as assigned
Maintaining a safe plant in mechanically sound condition meeting Provincial and local guidelines
Assisting to ensure occupational health and safety and regulatory compliance
The ideal candidate will have three to five years’ experience with ammonia refrigeration along with Refrigeration Operator Endorsement or better. Other professional abilities would be an asset (Electrical, Millwork, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel Welding).

We are seeking an individual with a passion for Customer Service, can manage a flexible schedule and are interested in joining The Albion Farms and Fisheries Sales Team.

GENERAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Including but not limited to:
Receive and process orders / credits by telephone, in person, via Fax, email, SPS, EDI, Sales Answering Machine.
Promotion and sales of connected, push or new products.
Initiate sales by calling existing clients.
Duties also include checking inventory for product availability, delivery scheduling, and price verification. Etc.
Troubleshoot customer service issues and coordinate between internal departments such as Accounting, Assembly, Outside Sales, Dispatch, Processing or Purchasing for a positive outcome.
Print Pick Slip and Invoices.
Run, assemble and sort orders and reports for various Internal and External Customers/Departments.
Arrange for pickup of Orders with correct corresponding paperwork.
Advising shortages to Sales Reps and impute orders for appropriate substitutions.
Invoice orders
Flexible, Reliable, Helpful, Customer friendly attitude to all Customers and Co-workers.
Strong command of English both written and oral.
Assisting arrivals at Reception and the Pickup counter, processing order payments and paperwork.
Daily entry and posting of orders and credits.
Product transfers and adjustments.
Flexible, available to cover other shifts.
Strong computer skills
